A short film about Paul Poggi of Poggi Industries, an investment banker turned woodworker who specializes in bespoke custom furniture.

Heres a short film we made over the space of a few days from the 37th floor of a Manhattan building. Thanks to Woody Allen for the inspiration.

 

Way back in 2001, i was straight out of art college, full of ideas and wanted to ask the question if you could be a photographer and author of the image without using your own camera. I was inspired by an article  about Virgin boss Richard Branson taking pictures 1000′s of feet above the earth inside his world record attempting balloon, of himself and his 1 man crew, it mentioned that the photographer who had the idea and set the camera up owned the copyright, not Richard Branson, despite Branson pressing the shutter. Therefore, with this knowledge in mind, i jumped in the car with a stylist, hair / make up, model and a bunch of clothes and headed up to the theme park Thorpe Park, here we produced a full on fashion shoot, using the camera that were found on the rides and attractions, heres the results;

The project we worked on for 125 Magazine’s ‘The Art Issue’ was a  homage to the performance artist Marina Abramović , during the piece we made images with the extras which never made it into the magazine, however, upon re-visiting the project we felt the images had really wonderful moments and deserved to be seen.
